We all understand the need to self protection, response times from our civil protectors has never been in question. Call the police after the fact. When you truly need them, they won’t be there. Nor can you be assured they won’t protect the wrong person. Enshrined in our Constitution are the Bill of Rights. Some people believe these are the rights Government gives us. Nothing could be further from the truth. These are inalienable rights, rights the government cannot infringe upon. If, the people stand up for their right. Government will not police itself. It’s up to us.
“A Government that does not trust its law abiding citizens to keep and bear arms, is itself, unworthy of trust.” James Madison, chief wordsmith of the Constitution”
