The walls / awnings feature allows you to keep side walls closed for wind or rain protection, roll them up to let the breeze blow through or set them out as awnings for additional shade. Walls have zippers to open or close, permanently attached at the top so you never loose any pieces. All around quality screen tent for year around use.
