Scope sights are classified as optical magnification & objective lens diameter, e.g. 12x - 32. This will tell you the scope has 12 times magnification with a 32 mm objective lens. Adjustable magnification scopes are also available, these can be set by turning a knob. e.g. 4-8 x 40. All feature reticles, ranging from the traditional cross hairs to complex reticles designed to allow the shooter to estimate accurately the range of a target.
