A Hammock is a fabric or woven sling used for sleeping or resting. They have been used in many different situations over the years, backyard leisure, military operations, camping & hunting just to name a few. Hammocks have been around for many years dating back to the early 1700's & were woven out of bark from a Hamack tree. Their are a few types including woven natural or synthetic rope supported by a wooden stretcher on each end, flexible fabric supported by parallel ropes and freestanding with rigid frames such as aluminum or wood. Most are stretched & tied between two trees or poles.
