The distinguishing feature between this bag and others in the range is its large, zippered pockets on either side. These pockets make it convenient to access things quickly, especially when exploring outdoors. The adjustable suspension system, called "Comfort Glide", is another highlight of the Cascade pack. This system helps you adjust the pack to the ideal comfort level. What’s more, the adjustable ‘SoftEdge’ shoulder straps provide optimum comfort as they contain twin layers of foam. Added to this, are the modular-designed waist belts. These also possess 3-layered foam padding, a soft, internal layer, a solid central layer, and an inflexible exterior layer. This facilitates ultimate comfort and optimum load-carrying capacity. Moreover, the air mesh material fitted to the inner side of the waist belt stretches along with the foam padding. This prevents the development of wrinkles which can be uncomfortable when they come in contact with your body. This accessory is presented in the pocket provided in the compartment at the base of the pack.

A separate fanny pack is not necessary for short hikes around camp. This is because the top pocket converts quickly to one. You need not worry if your Cascade Backpack is too full to accommodate a few other things needed for your trip. The "spindrift collar" at the upper part of the Cascade Backpack makes the bag extendable, so the top pocket can be adjusted upward or downward as desired.
